Description & Duties
*The school nurse promotes and protects the health status of students and staff through functions in all areas of coordinated school health including telehealth assistance.
*Ensure the health focus of students encouraging academic success through prevention, disabilities and early detection to correct health problems.

Training: School nurses must attend annual training meetings sponsored by the Mississippi Department of Education.
