Location: Based at Smithville Medical Clinic when not floating
Hours: Monday-Friday
Key Responsibilities:
Float as a receptionist to multiple medical clinics on an as needed basis
Skilled at multitasking in multiple fast paced work environments
A pleasant personality while working with children and adults daily
Making appointments, collecting co-pays, and providing receipt of money in accordance with established procedures
Responsible for insurance verifications with health insurance organizations-Maintaining various files and providing general office duties, e.g scanning, faxing, data entry, etc.- Assisting patients with paperwork
Knowledge of claim denial resolution a plus
Answering telephone calls in a detailed-oriented and effective manner
Acting as a liaison with patients and providers in a compassionate and kind manner
Job Requirements:
1+ years of experience as a Medical Receptionist
High School Diploma required, Associates Degree preferred
General grasp of medical terminology, including insurance and general billing terminology
Ability to handle multiple tasks to prioritize needs and expedite tasks upon request
Experience with insurance billing and an electronic medical record system, as well as social media platforms is required
HIPAA compliance patient privacy rules experience
Scheduling experience preferred
