Qualifications
Required
At least 18 years of age
High school diploma or GED equivalent (copy required)
Successfully pass a background check conducted by the Mississippi Board of Pharmacy
Registered with the Mississippi Board of Pharmacy and maintain annual renewal by the March 31 deadline
Provide proof of passing a Board-approved Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam
Maintain current knowledge and compliance with all required CEUs
Meet physical requirements, including standing for extended periods, lifting/carrying, and manual dexterity
Demonstrate specific sensory abilities, including scent and hearing, as well as vision requirements for close-up work and color/depth perception
Deliver excellent customer service through effective verbal, written, and non-verbal communication
Work well with others
Preferred
Prior pharmacy experience
Experience with the PioneerRx pharmacy computer system
Description & Duties
Help the Pharmacy Director and other staff with all daily tasks
Fill and process prescriptions while handling insurance billing and claims
Answer phone calls and coordinate medication orders with vendors
Use PioneerRx to enter patient information and keep records updated
Check inventory levels and prepare orders to keep supplies in stock
Handle customer checkout and payments at the register
